NO BLACK FRIDAY
Holzweiler - NO Black Friday
“We want to take a stand against Black Friday. Our retailers and clients are feeling pressured to drop prices due to the enormous sales- and purchase-driven focus behind this tradition. Although we can’t stop Black Friday, we want to shift focus to a more important cause; The Church City Mission’s Christmas campaign ‘Give joy to someone that dreads Christmas’ ” – Susanne Holzweiler.
Friday 23th of November from 08:00, we will only sell a limited amount of orange hoodies, without any discounts. Extra revenue from this day will be given to the Church City Mission’s work. This cause is close to our hearts. Therefore, the hoodie’s black hanger is placed near the heart. Shop here
For a warmer and more welcoming society
Again this year, Holzweiler takes a stand against the enormous sales and purchase pressure that Black Friday causes. On this day, we rather focus on creating a warmer and more welcoming society. We want less people to dread Christmas.
Many people don’t associate Christmas with joy. In 2015, 125.000 Norwegians stated in a survey that they dreaded Christmas. Holzweiler supports The Church City Mission in Norway and encourages everyone to support the campaign “Give joy to someone who dreads Christmas”.
The Church City Mission is an inclusive, non-profit organization, doing charity work in cities across Norway, among people who face challenges in life for various reasons."Give joy to someone who dreads Christmas" provides dinners and a place to eat for people on the streets and those addicted to drugs or alcohol.
